Therapy Services

Individual Therapy

People come to therapy for any number of reasons, essentially when things are tough or overwhelming in their lives. It is normal to have difficult periods and sometimes, just as we turn to professionals to look after our physical health, having a neutral space and a compassionate specialist to explore difficult emotions and to talk things through can be very helpful to maintain good mental health. I have experience dealing with all age groups in an individual setting and will start with an initial consultation to allow me to understand why you are seeking therapy and to formulate some ideas of areas to explore in order to help. Depending on the the themes discussed, it may be appropriate to bring other people who are close to you into the sessions, but the focus of the work will be individual.

Initial consultation fee: £85.00       Subsequent individual sessions: £70.00

Couple Therapy

Relationships with those closest to you can become difficult to navigate.  I offer a safe and non-judgemental setting that allows meaningful communication and where we can explore what has brought about the feelings that are hard to manage. Couples can benefit from short or long term therapy and I have worked with a wide range of clients with a wide range of personal situations. I will start with an initial consultation to allow me to understand why you are seeking therapy and to formulate some ideas of areas to explore in order to help. Subsequent sessions will look to address the themes we identify.

Initial consultation fee: £90.00       Subsequent couple sessions: £85.00

Family Therapy

Family and systemic psychotherapy – also known as family therapy – can help those in close relationships to better understand and support each other. It enables family members to express and explore difficult thoughts and emotions safely, understand each other’s experiences and views, appreciate each other’s needs, build on family strengths, and work together to make useful changes in their relationships and their lives.

This type of therapy can be helpful if communication is difficult within a family or when the family has experienced difficult circumstances and would like to address these together.  If you would like to find out more about family therapy, please click here to read helpful information on the Association for Family Therapy website.

Initial consultation fee: £90.00       Subsequent family sessions: £85.00

CBT Menopause Course

Menopause Support

The menopause is an individual experience and for some women it can mean a variety of symptoms which can have a negative impact on their lives.

CBT Course

I run a 6 week Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) course which helps women who are experiencing problematic menopausal symptoms. It is a non-medical course that can be helpful for a range of health problems, including anxiety and stress, depressed mood, hot flushes and night sweats, sleep problems and fatigue and brain fog. CBT helps people to develop practical ways of managing problems and provides new coping skills and useful strategies. Because of this, CBT can be helpful to try because the skills can be applied to different problems and can improve wellbeing in general. It is suitable for women who have undergone breast cancer treatment and who are currently on HRT.

The cost of this 6 week course is £295 and it is delivered via Zoom.

For any more information to decide if the course is right for you or to book on my next available dates, please just get in touch by clicking here.

If you are interested in what the course offers but would rather not participate in a group environment, please contact me here to discuss and I will be happy to arrange individual sessions for you.

If you feel that you would prefer to consult a specialist GP about your menopausal symptoms, I work with and recommend Dr Naomi Potter at www.menopausecare.co.uk. The clinic offers bespoke menopause appointments online or from clinics in Barnes, Wimbledon and Sheffield and offer British Menopause Society gold standard therapy and HRT.

Consultations for Employers

As an employer, supporting your workforce is one of your highest priorities.  I provide a variety of consultation services that range from 1 -1 advisory with an employer or menopausal individual to in-house workshops and targeted team events. These services can provide information and insight into the menopause and its effects but also offer evidence-based practical ways for the employer to support the workforce or ideas for self-support for menopausal employees.

Please contact me here to discuss your company's needs or to enquire about any of the services I offer.
